ABOUT NOMAD

Chris Johnson has extensive experience In viennoiserie and pastry arts. Chef CJ started his pastry career in NYC working for the accomplished cake designer Rodolfo Goncalves at his West Village boutique cake shop Sweet Corner Bakeshop and eventually moving on to work at the award winning retail and wholesale Brooklyn bakery Ovenly. He also worked with Thomas Keller in his pastry kitchen at Per Se and Bouchon Bakery and Dominique Ansel at both his flagship Dominique Ansel Bakery and Dominque Ansel Kitchen. 

As the owner of Nomad Coffee and Bakery Chef CJ seeks to create a place to experience delicious fresh baked and innovative pastries combining his heritage and knowledge of viennoiserie and a comfortable specialty coffee experience.
